As the most experienced Lyric fitter and trainer in Australia, I contract to Phonak to provide accreditation and upskill training for the Lyric hearing aid.
T2 Accreditation (in Victoria):
This is the process of certifying a new provider is capable of applying theory to the actual physical fitting of Lyric in the clinic
It involves a day of me supervising a new provider sizing and fitting of patients with Lyric
Accreditation is provided if a minimum number of ears are successfully fitted and an appropriate level of care and knowledge is demonstrated
T3 Up-Skill Training:
This is the process of my attending and providing further training to already established providers
It is a bespoke process tailored to the needs of the provider, but usually involves a combination of theory, practical training on actual difficult clients and
It may be one to one, in groups, for a half day or several days
Research and Presentations:
Over the years I have collected data on Lyric fitting processes and the efficacy of measure to improve those processes, and this information is regularly presented at conference and online sessions
